Tomes of Ataraxia
Seven centuries ago, dragons mysteriously vanished from the planet Auralus. Their departure left a power vacuum, and a seemingly endless war has been fought in the shadows by numerous factions ever since. Now, one man alone stands on the brink, determined to take the final, decisive action that will bring about the end of the conflict. The problem is, he doesn’t know who to trust. And that includes himself.
Amongst shifting fates, a girl with a mysterious past, a noble-hearted warrior, a space-traveling satyr, and a surly demon embark upon an adventure of self-discovery, heroics, and regrettable decisions. Will they solve the mysteries laid bare at their feet, key to preserving life as they know it? Will they save the people of Auralus or lead them to their doom?
Volume 1 of the Tomes of Ataraxia, The Demon Who Cried Murderer, begins the timeless struggle of bumbling heroes versus malevolent evil, asking the most important of all questions: Do you save the cat—or eat it?

Meet the protagonists
Soren
The man who wields the power of the Gods. His intentions are noble, his course of action set. Yet, he can’t shake the feeling that something is amiss. Is he being misled, or worse, manipulated? An impossible thing, as only the Gods would be capable of such a thing, and they certainly do not care.
Molly
There’s only one thing Molly wants in this world, and it’s an Anivus. Too bad they’re one of the most coveted artifacts known to humankind.
Uriel
Uriel follows the path of the Knights of No Thinking, champions sworn to search and destroy the Six Demons. He is stalwart, reliable, and overly aware of his naivety. He has a heart of gold, though, and always wants to do what is right. Will his moral compass direct his group on a righteous path? Well, he can try…
Zyfiro
Hailing from the Greek-like planet of Mythos, Zyfiro has seen it all. In a world where the people are unaware of life on other planets, can this satyr find acceptance and camaraderie? No problem. Can he fulfill his need for fun, entertainment, and debauchery? Not an issue. Are the denizens of Auralus ready for his herculean-sized libido? Probably not. Is he ready to become the valiant hero of stories, a young buck spoken of for ages to come? That one might need some work.
Cragmyre
Demons dwell in the shadows, non-corporeal but felt, vying for the privilege to walk in the flesh amongst mortals as one of the Six. Once a decade, the most sinister and conniving demon is cycled in, set to wreak havoc and sow destruction. Enter Cragmyre, ranked 999th and lowest of his kin, a beneficiary of a Demonic clerical error reversing the Demonic ranking. He might not be particularly good at mass murder, but he does have a stink about him that most would call lethal.
